A NASA-area native who grew up in Houston and now raises his family in Humble, Charles graduated from Nicholls State University on a Division I football scholarship. His degree is a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, with a concentration in Marketing and Professional Sales.
He founded McDade in June 2020 with a simple framework. Clarity. Probability. Severity. Value. Apply it to every policy. Tell clients the truth, even when the truth is "keep what you have." About 40 percent of the time we tell homeowners to stay with their current carrier, and sometimes even with their current agent, because that is the right answer for the family.
Charles was named the 2025 Liberty Mutual Agent for the Future, Emerging Leader, then returned as a 2026 Agent for the Future Judge. He also earned the 2025 Travelers S.T.A.R Agent, Superior Travelers Agency Recognition. He spoke at ITC Vegas 2026 and has spoken at the NAAIA National Conference and at Insurance Soup Live, the gathering of a Facebook group 64,000 agents strong.
He became a 2025 Independent Insurance Agents of Houston Board Member, first African American in 101-year history. In September 2026 he began his term as Executive Board Member, Independent Insurance Agents of Houston.
Charles is married to Dr. Allison McDade, a child and adolescent psychiatrist. They have two children, Aaliyah, age 11, and Charlie, age 6. Off the clock, Charles is a hunter, a fantasy football strategist, and a Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast.
